At the Helm



Harrisville Harbor of Refuge Commission functions as entity which derives its authority from the City of Harrisville and is charged with the responsibility to manage and oversee all harbor activities and work in the best interests of the community of Alcona County. The commission is comprised of seven members and employs two year-round employees along with several seasonal part time dockhands. Harbor operational management is delegated to the Harbormaster with oversight from the commission which meets monthly.
